Cytology

what is cytology? 

Cytology is a vaginal smear to identify the different stage of the female oestrus cycle, the process is pain free, straight forward and accurate

what might we see? 

the cells collected identify the day your girl is ready for breeding when ovulated. We can also identify infection or split season. 

Best day to start? 

We advise to start testing on day 7 

What if your unsure on days? 

Don't worry - bring your girl and we will check and see where she is on her cycle for you

Ultrasound scanning

We can do an ultrasound scan to confirm if your bitch is in pup. 

We advise to do this 30-35 days after ovulation / mating

Microchipping

We can microchip your litter of puppies from 7 weeks old without you having to cart them all out the house :) 

Microchipping your puppies is a legal requirement by 8 weeks old before they go to new homes
